So who is "MrsFrenchTeacher" anyway?

Madame Thompson grew up in Iowa City, Iowa. She loved studying French in 6th grade and decided to keep on taking it all through junior high, high school, college, grad school... Well, the truth is, she has never stoppped studying French to this day! She is grateful for her friends and teachers along the way who really motivated her to want to learn more about the French langauge and culture.

Madame Thompson finished her BA in French at the University of Iowa in 2000. That year she was hired to teach French at Green Lake. Madame has greatly enjoyed all of her students at Green Lake and appreciates the uniqueness of such a small school. Mrs. Thompson has worked with all grades and ages at Green Lake from the 3 year olds to the Seniors!

In 2005 Mrs. Thompson finished her MA in French through the University of Northern Iowa. In recent years she started studying Spanish, and is working towards her teaching license in Spanish also. When needed, she also teaches French for Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Madame and her husband, Troy, enjoy traveling and try to go to France every year. (Click here to see Madame's travel obession!) She also enjoys playing the violin and bass, being a computer geek, running, and searching for the perfect espresso.

Oh yes, back several years ago, some charming former students used to call Madame "Mrs. French Teacher." Thus, the name stuck and made for a catchy dotcom, n'est-ce pas?
